Truly Scrumptious by Cinderberry Stitches

I  love Natalie from Cinderberry Stitches patterns. I have had Truly Scrumptious for ages now and have waited for the right fabric to start and best of all it uses 2 jelly rolls.

Fig Tree And Co fabrics are my most favourite designers from Moda and when I saw Farmhouse I knew it was the perfect fabric to start this wonderful pattern.

I  cant wait to get started.  Until next time - Happy Stitching

United Stitches Installment 9 & 10

A couple of weeks ago I received from A Patchwork Quilt, my next installment of Rosalie Deckers BOM - United Stitches.  This is such a fun little BOM - it stitches up so quickly.

I love Tilda Fabric - it matches the Cottage Garden Threads perfectly.  I'm doing my version different from Rosalies quilt design.  Just adding 1.5" borders around the little stitcheries.

Until next time - Happy Stitching!

The Spring Lake Quilt Progress 1

I received The Spring Lake Quilt by Tilda Kit from A Patchwork Quilt and couldn't wait to get started on it.

Over the past couple of weeks I have been slowly putting this quilt together.  It took me just over 3 hours to cut all the fabric out - 96 x 4 1/2" squares and 240 x 2 1/2" squares.

(4 1/2" squares)

( 2 1/2" squares)

Once I cut all the squares I matched up the 2 1/2" squares and started to chain peice them together.

Then I ironed the seams, matched them up again and chain pieced again to get the 4 patch 4 1/2" squares - then back to the ironing board again.

Once the 4 patches were sewn together I match the 4 1/2" squares to either side create the rectangular blocks, which I then matched up (according to the pattern) and sewed them together to make the large rectangular blocks.

Below is a pic of all the blocks layed out before I start sewing them all together to make the finished quilt top.

I can't wait to finish this quilt.  It's been so much fun putting it together and I love Tilda Fabric.

Until next time - Happy Stitching & Quilting!

A Country Tea Party - BOM

After visiting The Quilters Angel Toowoomba to pick up my monthly BOM Grandmothers Tea Party - I noticed outside of the shop they had a sample of Libby Richardson's new BOM A Country Tea Party and my eyes lit up.  Fabrics are Tilda's new range and stitched using Cottage Garden Threads and DMC threads.  It is so beautiful - so I signed up.

With the first installment I received fabric to complete the stitchedry and Cottage Garden Threads pack.  I haven't got all the DMC threads so I have to go to my local patchwork shop to get them.

I cannot wait to get started.

Happy Stitching!

United Stitches BOM

I'm a little bit excited to be sharing with you today some finished blocks of Rosalie Quinlans United Stitches BOM that I'm currently doing.
The original colour scheme was fabrics by Rosalie Quinaln called Chirpy Lola and stitched using Cosmo Threads.
I'm doing mine different from Rosalies version.  My fabrics are Tilda's new range Apple Bloom & Spring Lake, stitching using Cottage Garden Threads and I'm doing 2 rounds of 1.5" strips around my stitcheries.  I have completed blocks 1 to 8.  I love stitching these little blocks - they whip up quickly.
